OUR STORY
At Living Souls, we believe the most remarkable whiskies are often those that wander off the beaten track. Our aim is to uncover these hidden gems, add our own touch, and bring their stories to life through a world of small batch spirit masterpieces.
Founded in Glasgow in 2024 by a team with deep roots in the whisky industry, Living Souls was created to do things differently. Calum Leslie, formerly Head of Innovation at Loch Lomond Group, leads creative development and shapes every new release. Jamie Williamson, founder of Kilninian Drinks Co., drives our commercial strategy and ensures the brand grows with purpose and precision. John Torrance, with decades of experience at Diageo and Douglas Laing, sources our casks and oversees blending and maturation. Together, they bring a rare mix of imagination, experience and instinct to the table.
We search for extraordinary parcels of spirit that are often overlooked or unconventional and transform them into limited edition whiskies that speak through flavour rather than fame. Our releases span single malts, grains, blends and even and the occasional accidental combination. Each spirit is chosen for its individuality and enhanced through careful blending or finishing to bring out its full character.
Everything we do is guided by a simple idea. Great whisky should be both exceptional and accessible. We do not bottle for collectability or status. We focus on drinkability, character and craft. We bottle whiskies made to be opened, shared and remembered.
We aim to release four small batches each year. Every whisky is bottled at natural colour, never chill filtered, and presented at a strength that suits the spirit best. Design is essential to how we tell each whisky’s story. Our labels feature original illustrations that capture the mood and flavour of every release. We also use a colour-coded system to guide exploration. Citrine Yellow signals bright and fruity. Berry Rouge means rich and rancio. Atlantic Blue reflects coastal and saline character. Moss Green marks out the robust and smoky.
With each release, we invite drinkers to explore whisky through a more personal and expressive lens. This is not just whisky. It is a journey of soul, substance and flavour. Come sip with us.
